In my case, I unfortunately learned how the system treats you as if you are guilty before you even have a chance to realize what is going on and to hire an attorney.

My daughter made a false allegation that I had abused her. This caused the child protective services to get involved and then the county prosecutor. Before I really even understood what was going on, my daughter had been removed from the house and I was being charged with a crime.

At this point, I realized I needed to hire an attorney. This was the first time I ever had to hire an attorney so I searched the internet for the best attorney I could find. I ended up hiring Dan Koukol.

When I hired Dan Koukol, he told me that he was going to have his investigator interview everyone they could that might help my case. He said would make appearances in court for me so I could continue with my life without this problem completely ruining everything.

Well that’s exactly what he did. Dan and his investigator worked on my case together for over 4 months. From time to time we would talk and they would fill me in on what they were learning.

It was actually amazing what they were able to uncover.  After Dan Koukol gave the prosecutor all of the reports and findings from the investigation, the prosecutor dismissed the case against me.

I have never been in trouble before and I had no idea that prosecutors could charge people with crimes that you really didn’t do. I am so glad I found Dan Koukol to defend me.
